NPL Superfund Footprint Mapper
Thank you for participating in the Beta testing of our NPL Superfund Footprint Mapper. We are testing the usefulness of UserVoice software for collecting your comments. It would be particularly helpful if you could put into the box “Enter your comments below” the topic of your comment/suggestion, such as “General Overview”, “Grammar and Typos”, “Broken Links”, “Suggested Data Layers”, or “Additional Functionality”. Please include in the box “Describe your idea” the url of the page that you are commenting on. Please feel free to enter as many comments as you wish.
Please note that we will do our best to correct any errors in the Mapper and on the Web page. Your suggestions for additional data layers and functionality will be collected for future versions of the Mapper, if funding is available.

Response to suggestion on adding SRP health and environmental data to Mapper
We would love to include the pollutant data and health data from the Superfund Research Program (SRP) university grantees on to the SF Footprint Mapper. The data could then be more accessible (and hopefully useful) to other researchers as well as the impacted communities. Perhaps at the next SRP Annual Meeting we can work with the other SRP Research Translation Cores and Community Engagement Cores to coordinate these collaborations. Thanks for your interest-

Suggestion
Take pollutant data and health data from the SRPs and map it onto your map (linked to the dates collected). Then the communities can have better access to the data.
Keep improving the visual interface and usability as you can.

suggested data to be added
The units, period and geographical extent of the layers need to be added (e.g. infant mortality rate by county, for year 2011, and per 10000 births)

I think this will be a great tool
You might want to attach a note when it goes out to people explaining potential uses for it.
