I'm working with the 1980 PUMS. I just want to make sure I understand the coding of age. Does the age variable refer to the person's age on Dec 31, 1980. If not, what exactly does it measure?
AGE gives the person�s age in years as of their last birthday prior to or on the day of enumeration. With the 1980 Census, date of enumeration is April 1, 1980.
