When will the rasters of census variables (sex, age, and urban/rural designation) be released?

In order to broaden the applicability of GPWv4, the data collection is being expanded to include global population rasters of Basic Demographic Characteristics (age and sex) estimated for 2010 and urban/rural designations as defined by national statistics offices.

The global rasters of population by age and sex are now available with the 2017 release of the Revision 10 data sets. Population data by urban/rural designation are currently being acquired and processed. Expected release date for these data is 2018.
